I would like to mention https://johnharper.itch.io/lasers-feelings that uses the very same mechanic (whilst using different die) and was published by John Harper 12 years ago.
Besides that I was surprised (in a positive manner) by the twist in settling down, giving the adventurer’s life some form of a finish line.
Oh yes, I would certainly claim no ingenuity on my part. I really see the overlaps with Harper (not to mention Scrapcat as another nice single stat system), though I had not thought about it initially (added it to the game description). Thanks for pointing it out! Glad you enjoyed the twist.
Oh that's true! I've seen a zillion hacks of Lasers and Feelings but never even considered this one. It's even called "Tough Love" and the stat is even Tough!!! 😱 LOL I have no idea how I missed that. It's brilliant!

This is very fun! 😀
Thanks! Glad to hear it.
Oh my goodness, this is fantastic, and such an elegant use of that singular stat! I also frickin LOVE that art, of course 🥳
